Dimensional travel hasn't been proven in my world yet.

Aliens destroying a major city definitely changed out view on reality and our existence.

We had the same thing happen to us though given they came from a portal in the sky I think they could have come from another dimension? Maybe? I don't even know.

I wish it was as simple as a hole opening up over my city. Our invasion was much closer to the movies.

Oh those movies. I understand what you mean. The aliens nearly destroyed downtown Manhattan though there was surprisingly few deaths considering the location - any death is to many though.
