[Sam's peering out the window of his apartment, watching as the rain pounds against it. In the background, Lou's letting out little whines and unhappy noises, sounding like she's gearing up for a meltdown. Sam can't blame her.]
Listen, I dunno what rain is like where everyone else is from, but where I'm from? Rain is deadly. You need special protection to go out in it. If even a drop hits you, it ages you years within seconds. I've got a couple gray hairs myself from timefall.
It's probably not like that, here. But I'd still say be careful, if you have to go out. Cover yourself head to toe, if you can. Stay in if at all possible.

[ Lydia wrinkles her nose, figuring it doesn't need to be said that the sound of aging rain is horrifying but the look on her face makes it obvious.
She brushes it aside though. ]
How is Lou? She sounds cranky.

Lou -- [He looks over towards the crib] At home, rain doesn't just mean aging. It means monsters. And she can sense those monsters, just like I can. I don't know how to tell her that this rain doesn't mean the monsters are coming. Best I can do is hold her, comfort her. Read her some of the books you helped us pick out.

We're doing okay. Got enough supplies to stay home for a while, so that's good. I just need to try to keep her calm, hope she can get some sleep.

That's good. If you need anything at all let me know. I hope she's able to get some rest.
