Video; Introduction
[She puts on an air of being more nervous than she is when the video comes on. Because Barbara Gordon is, in every way, clearly a civilian with no other nocturnal activities whatsoever. But she still waves, in a friendly enough manner.]
Hoo, ok, where to start. Umm. Well, I guess I should start small? I'm Barbara, Barbara Gordon. Formerly of Gotham City, in case anybody knows it. And ugh, I am so hopeful at least someone does.
So I've got some idea what I'll be doing around and about - it's all a bit strange to me, but, hey, when in a weird situation, make the best of it.
[She holds up the introductory literature she was given.]
Now, umm...this is all a little bit strange in terms of surroundings and...whatever is going on, but if you need someone to work through information fast, I'm your girl. I mean, not much else I can do, other than maybe throw some computer science and gymnastics at it. But yes, research skills if anybody needs.

Hi Barbara Gordon, I’m May Parker! My friends call me Mayday so you can call me that or you want. How are you holding up with all this stuff?
no subject
But, oof, turns out getting sucked into another dimension or whatever and my stomach do not get along. I'd rather not go through that again.
no subject
Oh there is for sure a reason. My parents might have considered me a bit of a menace.
[She couldn’t help but grin at that. She was definitely proud of the fact.]
So no offering to take you out for the towns best tacos right now? Rain check then.
Well now we just need to do a log of getting tacos and finding out they live next door :P
[She can't help but laugh at that.]
Well, points for that, I guess - and definitely a rain check, yeah.
For sure!
Okay, just hit me up when you feel up to it. Or if you have any questions. Or if you just want to hang out. This place can be crazy but we’re pretty good about being there for each other.

I know of Gotham through Bruce Wayne and also through some strange events that happened here that are slightly complicated.
[And that is an understatement.]
I have some research skills too. I'm looking into some things for a friend, if you would like to collaborate?
no subject
Oh, wow, ok - umm, you'll have to fill me in on the latter, but everybody knows Bruce Wayne. I was close with his ward, Dick Grayson, when we went through college together.
[And she keeps her face steady through remembering that slowly unfolding disaster.]
no subject
Dick Grayson was his ward?
[The words are spoken slowly as he processes that information. He hesitates a moment, but then realizes that there probably isn't any harm in telling her what happened in the past. Most of the people who were around during the last pocket reality strangeness knew Gansey's relation to Bruce. And if she was close to this Grayson person...]
In another reality, I was Bruce's adopted son.
no subject
It was pretty complicated. He was really more of a surrog-
[Then she clicks in on the latter...]
Oh. Oh! Well...that's a luckier Bruce Wayne, then.
no subject
[He can guess a few ways that the sentence could end, but he doesn't want to make assumptions. At the comment about Bruce being luckier, he can't help wondering what happened to that Bruce even as Gansey gives a charming smile that had won over politicians and displeased school administrators.]
I'm not certain if he was lucky. That version of me had a tendency to get into trouble. Nothing too serious, but enough to have him regularly sighing whenever my antics ended up in the newspapers and on the internet.
no subject
[And oh, you haven't heard of Tim Drake, buddy....]
no subject
[He isn't certain if he should say Barbara or Ms. Gordon after her reactions to the idea of him being Bruce's son in another reality.]
That version of me couldn't resist fast cars or stunning young men.
[He pauses a beat, thinking of the Camaro and Ronan.]
But those two traits might be universal for me. I just had less impulse control in Gotham.

I wonder how much coincidence there is in the different realities. Did the Bruce in your world adopt someone who lost their family to the violence of Gotham?
no subject
I think, somehow, Bruce Wayne will always be Bruce Wayne, regardless of universe. Twice, in my case - Dick Grayson, his ward, then Tim Drake, years later.
no subject
You attended college with Dick? I don't remember a Barbara in my - the other Gansey's - classes.
no subject
[Her mind boggles, and it shows on her face.]
You absolutely have to tell me everything! I mean, yes, I did, but you just must!
Video
You getting settled in okay?
Re: Video
Ooof, and thanks - it's...strange. But, hey, that's life, right? And I am, thank you. I mean, for a given value of 'settled in.'

[ Not all normal people have to deal with being abducted to another dimensions. ]
But yeah, we do what we can, right? If you need help with anything, feel free to reach out, okay?

Still. You're good people for offering. I hope to run into you more.

But yeah, if you need anything, let me know.

If you can get through information fast, I'm presuming you're a reporter.

un - realbrucewayne (he's a loser)
[ He really is starting to wonder how big this multiverse thing is. ]
Re: un - realbrucewayne (he's a loser)
Well, yes. But...shouldn't you already know that?

Speaking of weird...I may know a Bruce Wayne, from my universe. Rich? Gotham Philanthropist? Ringing any bells?
no subject
Sounds like me. I'm guessing your Bruce Wayne may have a family name to live up to?
