Yeah, at least for now. This place has a tendency to change from time to time. This is actually the third city it's been since I've been here.

It can be a little bit. Everything's fine when things settle after a while, but the initial change can be a bit jarring.

I guess that's understandable. Not the city changing, but it being jarring. How long have you been here?

A few months...six, I think? I lose track sometimes.

Why's that? You'd think you'd be more hyper aware of time in a new place.

[idontgetpaid]

Yeah, when the place changes. But then once things get settled and you get used to the day to day, sometimes you fall into the routine and forget what day it is.

[ Or you lose track of days when you're panic about something happening, like when your best friend turns into an ice statue, but that's not something he wants to mention right now. ]

Yeah, I see how that could happen. I'm like a calendar, though. I always know what day it is, unless I've been kept hostage.

That must come in handy for remembering certain days.

Though depending on who you ask, being brought here is kind of like keeping us hostage. But as far as hostage situations go, it's not so bad here all the time.

Well, let me tell you this is the nicest joint I've been held hostage in.

Luckily you missed all the Unseen stuff, though. That was a real mess.

Unseen? Why are there always such dumb names for everything bad?

Definitely no points for creativity, but it was the most accurate name. We could never catch any sight of them until the end.

I guess that's okay. But you got them?

Yeah, they've been taken care of. It used to be winter all the time, but once they were gone, spring finally sprung.

So we get seasons. That's good to know.

Yeah. Didn't realize how much I missed summer until all that happened.
