I've been here for months and I think I may be the first this has happened to.

'Not entirely terrible alcohol'?

[Yes, he's amused by that turn of phrase and what it might mean. For the rowing team that meant it wouldn't cause a person to go blind. To his parents, a very expensive and exclusive wine.]

I'd like to share it with you. I should be able to come over this evening. After I figure out what I'm going to tell Ronan about certain subjects.

Usually I had to use my fake ID to get anything from that level of 'not terrible'.

I'm trying to decide how much to tell him. I have to tell him something, but everything was a mess even before I ended up back in Henrietta.

I know it's not going to be easy for you.
But remember it's your choice. What do you need him to know?
You don't owe it to anyone.

I was too busy with Glendower or keeping Ronan out of the wilder parties to find ones with better quality alcohol.

No, it's not.

[It surprises him that Declan understands that it isn't simple. Everyone else seems to think his decisions are easy to make, that he can sort through the truth and lies and find simple solutions. With this, there isn't any simple solution.]

I don't know what I need him to know or if he needs to know anything.

Everyone thinks that I owe them some version of the truth.
