[The video starts off on a crib, then slowly pans around to see the rest of Sam's haul. Some slightly battered and dented boxes of diapers, some bottles lined up on the table, next to a small stack of baby clothes.

Then the camera swings around to Sam's face. Smiling, for once.]

Hi, guys. It took me a while to collect all this -- and assemble the crib and everything. But I think I'm finally set up to bring Lou into the world.

I found someone who's going to help me with the pod. Not trying to get my hopes up too much, it's risky. But Lou deserves a better life than being in that pod.

[ He had seen Sam before, when he had first introduced himself over the network, but hadn't commented. Now, though, he can't help looking at the little girl in the pod. ]

She definitely does. But...how do you know when they're ready to come out?

[ He's only curious, because he know that if it was him, he'd be torn between wanting to bring them out and wanting to make sure it was the right time. ]

She's getting bigger. Feels heavier, too, when I pick her up. Means she's able to absorb nutrients properly now. Which means... she could make it on her own. [His expression is soft as he reaches into the crib to stroke his finger over the side of the pod. Hopeful.]

Oh...well that's good. I hope everything works out for you guys.

How, uh...how long has she been in there?

[greatdeliverer]

[Maybe someday, he'll explain what really happened to Lou. Where she's been all these years and why he's so eager to get her out. To hold her. But not today. He doesn't know Miles well enough. So he'll go for the simple answer.]

A couple months. She wasn't growing, at first. The doctor I knew said she might never -- but she is now. So I think that's a good sign.

[ That's definitely fair enough. Miles still keeps plenty of his own secrets. ]

Well, that's good that she's been improving. You need anything for her when she's out?

[ Even though he doesn't know Sam very well either, he can't help wanting to help somehow. Because c'mon, it's a baby, who wouldn't want to help out? ]
