[Look, he's literally never heard of a phone before, it's a miracle that he got this far, completely by accident. He's not having a good day, he has no idea where he is or what's going on, and to top it all off, this phone looks a lot like some foreign, magical object to him.

At least he still has his piece of Havemercy. He might play at not being sentimental, but the piece of his girl means a lot to him.]

Fucking bastion bell cracked piece of- [The camera shows the floor at first, then Rook's face, then the floor again as he turns it over in his hands. His accent is foreign, something like a blend of Russian and French, but it's not overpowering.] Is this thing doing anything?

[The camera shows his face again as he squints at it. He looks unhealthily pale, like he's been through the wringer. Otherwise, he has long blonde hair, knotted here and there in braids, with streaks of royal blue at his temples.]

Bet Thom would be able to figure this piece of shit out.

[But Thom's not there, and that's part of the reason why Rook feels like breaking things.

Someone should probably tell him he's broadcasting to the network though...]

[ Mal doesn't know how it's possible to get almost a little dizzy by watching a spinning screen but she is relieved when the guy manages to get the camera back on his face. Then she can see who she is dealing with.
