[ It's probably a few hours after Tabatha's abrupt arrival. That really didn't feel like enough time to settle in, but there wasn't really any point in waiting for that, now was there? So there's a red-haired teenager with dark eyes and long, red hair, sitting outside a cozy looking house despite the lawn looking like nothing more than dirt and sand.

She looks unnerved, but she's doing her best to smile and be friendly. Reach out to others in her situation. See if they have answers. Because she has tried several time to translocate, back to home, but she just ends up going nowhere. At first, she thought it was a loss of powers. A grounding, one of the worst things that could happen to a witch. But she took advantage of being home alone and translocated from room to room, just to test that theory.

And when it turned out she did in fact have all her powers, that was when she decided to reach out and at the very least introduce herself. So, despite the day she's had, she offers the network a smile. ]

Hello! I'm Tabatha. Jerry already told me about this place, and I found my home.

[ She lifts the FluxPhone to show the exterior of her house and then the view returns to her face. ]

Literally, my home. Lacking my mothers decorations and my fathers advertising projects on the walls, this is my house from my universe. Has anyone else had something like this happen? Your home appearing in this place?

Thank you for anything anyone can tell me that Jerry might not have. I'll appreciate all the advice and information I can get.

[ She really hopes he understands that means she won't be ignoring him. She can't. ]

That's good to hear. That you were trying to stop the sacrificing, and not actively part of it. Otherwise, I don't see this friendship lasting at all.

[ Of course she's going to switch to video. He said something about accents. So now, Tabatha is curious about whether or not she has one to him. It's a mild accent at best, and her tone is cheerful. ]

I dunno about that. I've been a couple times for family vacations and going on business trips with my dad. The food can be good if you know where to go.

Let no one ever say Stiles is not a gentleman. He switches to video, too, and flashes her a bright grin. "Oh for sure, the Mexican can't be beat 'round here, you just gotta follow the day laborers, they know where all the best stuff is. They're pretty cool, too, as long as dad isn't in uniform. And you do have the accent. I bet people are gonna ask you if you went to Hale or Yarvard or whichever one is out there."

"Well, considering I'm only fifteen, I can easily say neither just yet." Nor has she any plans to go to either, just yet. She still has to get through high school, deal with the Witches Counsel's repeated attempts to dissolve her parents marriage, Grandmama and all of her attempts to scare her dad away.

She has a busy life, Stiles. A busy life, indeed, and that's only her Tuesday.

"You could always say you're a prodigy," he replied brightly. "I bet you could totally pass for one, just put on some cute glasses and an oversized college sweatshirt, post it to Insta and everyone'll be asking you to help them study for SATs."

"That sounds tricky. I'll definitely keep it in mind." Because Tabatha wouldn't be her grandmama's favorite granddaughter if she didn't inherit just a hint of Endora's bullshit.

"It's not like I wouldn't be able to buy a sweatshirt from the college websites, or find one om Etsy."

[yourbatman]

"Exactly!" He grins at her. "Or like, just go to a thrift store near one of the colleges, I bet they get old sweaters all the time, and remember! It's not fraud if you don't profit."

"I'm sure the thrift stores are loaded."

Or, she could just zap herself one. "Oh, absolutely. This is totally a non-profit prank."

Well, if Stiles knew about the zapping, he would've suggested it. Just so long as it's not one of those powers that like, sucks the life force out of you. He would advise against that whenever possible. It's not fun, he knows.

"Totally loaded," he agreed with a nod. "I'd offer to dress up with you but I'm pretty sure no one would believe I'm that smart," he laughed, partly because it was true and partly because he really was that smart. When he applied himself. And was able to direct his intelligence in the way that people wanted him to.

"Oh, please. I'm sure we could fool everyone," Tabatha says with a cheeky grin. "We'd have all of TikTok fooled, make tons of money just for becoming popular, and then buy an island they can't find us on once they figure us out. It's the best plan."

He laughed warmly. "Yeah, being close to you'll make me look smarter automatically. And that sounds like the perfect retirement plan. Are you more a Mary Ann or a Ginger?" He has no idea if she'll get the reference or not, but.

"Why can't I be both? They were both amazing in their own way."

She understood that reference!

He grinned again. "I dunno, people usually just pick one character that they're most like. I'm a Gilligan, for example, and my dad's definitely a Skipper."
