Oh, the grumpiness is still there, but his hair has been cut into a style somewhere between classic 40s and ultra-hip 2010s. And his posture seems slightly less ... on edge. ]

I know rain in the desert is supposed to be a good thing. But too much of something ... [ He makes a small grimace and casts a glance toward the stormy sky. ] Hope this stops soon. If anyone isn't up for venturing outside but needs necessities - like food - give me a call. I'm mostly waterproof.

[ That's the other weird thing: he's being sociable without the proverbial gun to his head. Something may or may not have happened to your resident hobo in the very recent past. ]

The one thing I haven't spotted here is a dock. Or any boats. Seems I'm out of luck there.

That's probably because deserts don't really have a need for a dock, or for boats. Usually.

If you need help getting supplies to people, I wouldn't mind. It'll give me something to do other than wait for the rain to eventually stop.

Too much of anything can be a bad thing. Especially when you consider how lackluster some of the buildings seem to be. I wonder how used to rain this place actually is.

Well, we're in the middle of a desert that looks like it's on the long side of a dry spell. My bet is on hardly used to a hard rain.

Mm, yeah. Guess we just gotta hope it doesn't go on for too long. I'm not entirely sure I want to see what'll happen if it like super floods.

The stability of some of these dwellings is questionable. Some might hold out against a rush of flood waters, though. My worry is the tunnels - especially those lower on an incline.

I hadn't really thought about the tunnels to be honest. That could be really bad if something happened to them. Guess all we can really do though is hope for the best and prepare for the worst. If anything does actually happen I'd be happy to help out, I'm pretty good at holding things together.

[Zoey is tucked somewhere out of the rain, but by the looks of her - hair sopping wet, clothing ALSO soaked through and clinging to her wetly - it looks like she's been out it in a lot already. She also looks tired. But she manages a wry little smile.]

Yeah. Too much of this and Haven's going to get washed right the fuck away.

[It's spoken jokingly (in a voice laced with what sounds like a mostly proper English accent; England by way of a few places, anyway) at least somewhat. She also wouldn't be surprised, either.]
