[There's a lot of grumbling as the audio starts. Beast is hardly going to show himself off to the populace at large right off the bat, given his startling appearance. That's a good way for people to turn up with the torches and pitchforks. There's a lot of muttering in his deep, growly voice.]
No--No--No! That's not right-- Maybe if I-- Oh da--
[And the audio cuts out. It's restored a few minutes later and this time he at least seems to be certain he's recording.]
I was wondering if anyone here is familiar at all with magic and curses?
[Might as well get a general sense of what everyone here thinks about the subject before he decides to reveal himself as a big, possibly scary monster.]

no subject
[He sounds reluctant to say even that much even though he was the one to bring up the topic, but forethought has never been Beast's strongest suit.]
no subject
[ Despite his clear reluctance, Blue lets her curiosity get the best of her. ]
What type of curse was used on you?
no subject
[Definitely wasn't one of those 'wait and it'll wear off' types of magic.]
A shapeshifting one. It changed me, my servants, and the entire castle.

I wouldn't show hospitality to a guest. There was an old woman in the snow who asked to stay at my castle and I turned her away.
[It wasn't like there were hotels nearby in the 1700s where she could have taken shelter. Beast had essentially condemned her to death by refusing to let her stay there, a horribly cruel act from a spoiled boy.]
