I don't really wish to complain...

But I'm not sure how fond I am of a place that rips your family from you and makes them forget you entirely.

Well, for some, it wasn't nearly so sad. Mine didn't change at all, but I do know some had even more family than before.

There will always be sadness and unfortunately, the lives they had weren't real beyond that brief period of time where it was. I assume this world has a way of changing things like that.

Is it sad they can't live happier lives, yes. But we can't change them back to that life.

The lives may not have been real, but what they felt was very real, and it would be much too cruel to say what they felt doesn't matter.

Nor should we, but we can try to make their lives better here.

How exactly though? If this world has a way to simply do that, then how can one make their lives better when even that could potentially be taken away.

Even if something is taken away, it doesn't change having done something good even for a little bit, dear. A little bit of sunshine in the world, even if it lasts for only a second, is still a bit of sunshine.

You say that, but then say you aren't fond of this place because it takes the family away and makes you forget. Yet if you have done something good during that time and is meant to be a little bit of sunshine that is a good thing.

Basically, you come across as a contradiction, or at least it seems that way.

Well, life is full of contradictions, I'm afraid that something like that is beyond me.

I just know that I rather put good in the world than not.

Yeah, that is something I try and do with my work. If it makes people happy and feel safe then it's all good.
