Citizens of Driftcrest have started to disappear at an alarming rate. You can't even get into the Ice Statue Garden without a fear of being trampled. The situation is going to escalate into a panic that we'll need to deal with... even if we aren't native to the reality.

Time to pool together what we've learned. Post what you've found about the Unseen or history of Driftcrest. I think it's time we start moving forward with a plan.

I'm Bruce Wayne. I ran a billion dollar multi-corporation in my home reality, and now sit on the board of Wechester Enterprises. Mr. Wechester is always keeping an eye on what we do--as it's obvious we're not native to any of these realities. Don't be surprised if I bring up questions or concerns he ever has. Never thought I'd be a liaison.

You do? Well, that's impressive for a woman who doesn't leave much of a digital footprint other than commerce. I didn't think you were that sort of babe in the woods.

[ Bruce doesn't trust easily -- especially when the reality is based in the concept of constantly going into other realities. Who knows what they might find. Hell, they might find another version of him.

That last bit stings. He frowns in the middle of his office at Wechester Tower before looking back at the window, fogged with snow. It takes a moment for him to respond to that. ]

My guess is that these realities need saving so much that it's pulling in super beings. But, it's just a guess. Business men don't know much about being heroes.

Is it? Well, I'm glad that I've managed to impress you, of all people. And what can I say? In this world, you either grow and adapt quickly when change comes knocking or you find yourself being run over. Do I really seem like the type of woman who would sit back and let that happen? Or perhaps you've never known a woman quite like me.

[ From where she's sitting inside her new living accommodations, Diana is smiling, not that he can see it. ]

[ She didn't throw in that last part from of a place of malicious intent. Perhaps she's off-kilter in her guesses as to what sort of angle he's going for here, but if he's attempting to gauge where she might fall on the timeline of events, then two can play at that. ]

You do that in our world. Here? You're forced to adapt because reality enjoys sling shooting you to different places every now and again. It was a beach when I showed up here.

You seem like the kind of woman that sits back and makes a calculated decision. One who doesn't like sticking out in the crowd too much. Quiet.

[ Call it him being sensitive to the topic still. Deep down, much like certain things that have happened in his past. It's just the newest wound. One he intends to make up and rectify, unlike the others in his past that he still feels he is atoning for. ]

Oh, I don't know about that, Miss Prince. You definitely know a thing or two about the mythical heroes of our histories. Hercules, Achilles, the Sword of Alexander.

I suppose, then, that it's a good thing that both of us know how to adapt. How many different places have you seen?

[ Truthfully, she's not ready for people to begin asking those questions. And it isn't her place to cause them to speculate about the man behind the mask. So for the moment, she also intends to play her part. ]

Well, I would not be very good at my job if I didn't know how to do that. But you're right: the next generation is very important. We must give them the ability to know these stories and to learn from them.

Seeing as how I've only just arrived, I would think the odds of me leaving again so soon are against me. And I can't help it if my curiosity has been piqued.

Oh, it is. You'd be surprised by how competitive, I suppose you could say, the antiquities circle can be.

[ She might argue that he has a bigger part to play than most, but something tells her he'd disagree. ]

Calls, you say? What sort of calls?

[ She waits for those few minutes, wondering if the conversation came to an end when his reply comes. ]

I think that I can manage dinner. Where should I meet you?

[ Bruce Wayne, of all people, does not simply ask someone to have dinner with him. Whatever he wants to discuss, it must be important. ]

[ There's no response in words to her question. Instead, Diana receives a downloadable message. An address -- which is to his house. Condo at one point, but well, he's needed to upgrade due to needing something for the suit.

Regardless, Bruce is already on his way out of the office and back home. ]
