[ Because, Bruce does nothing more than text on the network. It's easier and more discrete. Especially when you work in for a million dollar corporation that isn't really your own. So, once again, Bruce is addressing the network. ]
Citizens of Driftcrest have started to disappear at an alarming rate. You can't even get into the Ice Statue Garden without a fear of being trampled. The situation is going to escalate into a panic that we'll need to deal with... even if we aren't native to the reality.
Time to pool together what we've learned. Post what you've found about the Unseen or history of Driftcrest. I think it's time we start moving forward with a plan.
Especially our caped hero types. We all know you're here. Share what you've got.
There's also new faces on the network. Feel free to introduce yourselves here.
I'm Bruce Wayne. I ran a billion dollar multi-corporation in my home reality, and now sit on the board of Wechester Enterprises. Mr. Wechester is always keeping an eye on what we do--as it's obvious we're not native to any of these realities. Don't be surprised if I bring up questions or concerns he ever has. Never thought I'd be a liaison.

[Which might work except there's one problem.]
I don't know if I can sleep long enough to have the dream. Usually if I sleep more than a few hours at a time, either I'm too exhausted to dream or I have nightmares.

Is that a byproduct of your abilities?
TW - mention of insects
No, the insomnia is from dying when I was ten.
I stepped on a hornets nest while playing hide and seek. Even if I hadn't been allergic to them, I doubt most people would have survived being stung so many times.
I expected you to be less forgiving of my abilities.

How did you come back?
The memories of that alternate world are fairly close to the life I've lived. The world still had to accept that Kryptonians existed and that reality changed.
This place just reinforces that.

Or treated.
[Gansey's better than he'd been in the past. He's learned how to avoid the worst of the panic attacks and how to deal with the sleepless nights.]
That's complicated. I was dying on a ley line. Basically one of the high energy 'roads' of magical power that criss cross the country. While I was dying, one of my friends, Noah was dying as well.
The King I'm looking for, Glendower, intervened. I heard his voice say that because someone was dying that shouldn't be, one who shouldn't live would. Noah's life was traded for mine.
Knowing about people with different abilities doesn't mean you'd accept mine. Or not see me as a threat.
[Something Gansey is still worried about since Finding things isn't his only gift.]

[ Bruce wouldn't say that the therapy was overall helpful outside of learning to read people. Figuring out how to say things between the lines; further toning his ability to deceive others. ]
I remember you mentioning leylines before at Wechester Enterprises.
It weighs on you. Doesn't it?
If this was a year ago? I might not have been so accepting. Things change.

Did what happened to that version of Bruce happen to you as well?
[It's the most tactful way that he can think of to ask about that night.]
I'm still trying to figure them out, but the data isn't what I expected.
Noah didn't deserve to die. He trusted someone who should have cared about him, and they murdered him.
When I return home, I'll die again, and they'll sacrifice something they shouldn't for me to live again.
I've been worried about what would happen when you found out the full scope of my abilities.

Yes.
[ Bruce realizes that they really haven't talked about any of that. Pushed it under the rug more like it. Left it all to presumptions. It might be a good time to clean the air. ]
Your abilities might end up helping us more than you realize.
Is there anyway to make it so they can't sacrifice anyone else?

Was it as difficult in that reality as it was for the three of us - them - in the other reality?
I can find lost things. It's not that useful unless you're an archeologist.
I may have other gifts. I hoped that Glendower would explain them to me. I can do something with my voice, sometimes, but I don't really understand it.
According to Adam, I die saving our friends. I save Ronan's life. Afterward they sacrificed something that's basically a miracle to bring me back.
One of the great magics of the world traded for one human life.

It was more difficult for my own reality. I only had Alfred.
Have you tried to contact Glendower from here? What happens with your voice?
It sounds like you are going to go on to do great things. You stand for something -- mean something. That's why they would find that sacrifice worth it.

[That seems a safer topic for texting even though he is curious about how things had been different for this version of Bruce and the Bat.]
I don't think that would be possible. I haven't found him in my world and I doubt that there's a connection to him in this one.
The texts I read implied that there were certain Kingly powers. Somehow I have some of them, but I don't know their scope or how to use them without help.
[Bruce is probably going to freak over this.]
If I focus, I can command things to happen.
I don't stand or mean something. I'm an entitled, rich son of Republican parents. My life isn't worth Noah's or the loss of that kind of magic.
no subject
That makes things more difficult. Maybe we should look into what possibilities are here for connections back to our realities.
Presumably you are then the heir to it. Either by blood or by circumstances.
You're capable of things, Gansey. Either good or evil. That's for you to decide.

I'm not a King. I'm not like the people in those legends. They could perform real magic.
What could I do that would make my life worth more than Noah's?
