The Unseen.

We've been researching them a lot lately, and think we found where they're located. They hurt a bunch of us, and turned some of us into ice statues. Apparently they've been plaguing this place for...five years? But no one's been able to find where they live because of the weird abilities they have. Cloaking. Intangibility. Emotion manipulation.

But they hate the light and really hate fire. So listen to the guards, okay?

Sorry. I promise, I'm not casual about it. I'm just tired. And trying to not be cranky at a new person.

No, I didn't mean it like that. More like you're just used to things like this happening and it's freaking me out because I'm so not.

My dad makes pancakes he calls Bananarama Chocolate Chip Pancakes. But also they're a band from the 80s. They sing Cruel Summer.

You'll find that a lot of people here have abilities that aren't really seen in other worlds. And they're all really good, really cool people. As far as I can tell. I haven't met anyone crappy yet.

There's a part of the school here that's dedicated to the arts and all. A few months ago, a bunch of the students put on a show. One of the people that fluxed in like you, she was on stage on the drums. I think Cruel Summer was one of the songs she played?

I might be thinking of another group that went up.

I was born in the 90s. Missed the 80s but I've heard good things.

I was born in 2002. But I still like 80s stuff. Probably mostly because of my parents.

I haven't seen those in years. I did just watch the original Ghostbusters the other day.

That's a good one too. I still can't believe this is all real. It feels like a dream.

That's another thing you should keep in mind; for whatever reason, the surroundings change. I got here when it was a beach resort, and then it was a massive city. It literally happened overnight, but the people that flux in like us are the only ones that know it.

The residents don't even seem to notice. I don't know how they don't notice, but they haven't a clue.

How is that possible? They don't notice when it goes from a beach to a giant city? That doesn't make much sense.

I'm not saying I don't believe you, I'm just trying to process all of this, you know?

That's the part I'm not really sure of. I think something's wrong with this universe, and that parts of it are unstable.
