Think of this place as more of a multiverse or nexus than just a normal city. From what I've been told the city setting changes but the usual inhabitants seem to be entirely unaware of the changes.

As to why we are here? No one really knows that's one of those things I'm still researching about to mixed results. For the time being, we are here and we are expected to be productive citizens.

Well that's not too surprising, Jerry didn't say anything to me about it. I had to hear it from others on this network.

I don't know, thankfully no one is dead yet, but there are some people were turned into ice statues. We don't know what their condition is yet.

They were attacked by monsters called the Unseen.

That would be correct. We've been researching on how to handle them. We're close to a break through. It's only a matter of time before we stop them for good.
