This would probably the last place I expected to end up, if I even knew it was on the list.
Weird way to meet the neighbors, too, but how do you do, I guess?

Anyways, welcome to Driftcrest.

Thanks. It's nice to be in a place so
I guess 'convenient' is a good way to describe it.

Less need for a business suit that way.
Driftcrest is only convenient now that we solved their problem. The question is how much longer are we staying before it changes again.

Is it Bruce or Wayne?

What problem and what do you mean "again"?
no subject
Bruce Wayne is my full name.
Driftcrest was under siege by invisible creatures that would turn victims into pure ice.
Driftcrest is the third reality I've seen. When I arrived? It was a beach.

Well, it's good to meet you, Bruce Wayne. You can call me Biggs.
The third what now?
no subject
Any first name to go with that, Mr. Biggs?
World, reality. We come from different places and we change them. It was a beach when I arrived.
no subject
Victor, but most people just call me Biggs.
And it was a winter wonderland before you guys defeated the Unseen, right? That's normal.
no subject
Biggs then.
It was. I'm guessing they had some ability to affect the weather if it melts the moment that they're stopped.

Roger. They were ice monsters, pretty powerful ones too, by the sound of it. That sort of magic doesn't come from garden variety fiends, at least not that I've ever heard of. I know a guy who'd probably know better, but it looks like I left him in another reality.
no subject
Magic. You have that?
no subject
My world does, yeah, but the last people who could use it without using Materia, that's crystallized magic basically, died out a long time ago.
no subject
I've heard a few people mention magic before. Not in the context of "materia."

...is this a secure line?

But at least you got dropped in after all the chaos has settled down.

Has that happened before? Monsters, I mean. They aren't exactly uncommon where I come from.
no subject
I got dropped here pretty much as things had took a turn for the worse with the creatures. So I only have the information that I collected during my research of the monsters. There was a lot of conflicting information to work through.

I haven't witnessed this myself, this is just what I have been told by several people who have been stuck here like us. During my research of the monsters, I did find references to places called Beachville and Weschester City though. So I'm inclined to believe them.
no subject
...well, that's something.
no subject
It is. We're likely to learn for sure, if Driftcrest shifts since the monster problem was solved and that would be an opportune time to change the setting up again. Of course, this is just my speculation right now.
no subject
What I'm getting here is "keep an open mind, Biggs. You're not in Midgar anymore." I can roll with that.
Speculation leaves a lot of room for error. Never my first choice, but I'm not seeing a lot of options.

Let's collect what we do know. This place shifts realities, and when isn't predictable. Okay, that's workable, at least in a pinch. Does it effect us or just the environment?
