I didn't believe in places with 2 suns before getting here. Anything is possible.

I've seen Hell. I hope this place isn't that under a disguise.

It isn't paradise but doesn't feel like Hell to me either. There are good people here. I haven't seen anyone being tortured. Maybe this is a form of Purgatory but not Hell.

That's the other option I was concerned about... Purgatory.

Different cultures have different ideas on it but all the ones that I'm familiar with involve the person dying first.
Thing is, I don't remember being anywhere near close to death before arriving here. You?

This is going to sound... complicated... and insane.

And maybe I am. I mean, I was in a psychiatric facility for a time...

Anyway, I did die. I ... went to Hell.

But then I was sent back. Brought back to life.

Unless... the demons have been lying to me all along.

Believe it or not, I believe you. I happen to know someone who died and came back. And went through Purgatory, after resurrecting once.

And you thought you were complicated.

All I can tell you is that none of what I've learned matches up with what this has been for me.

I'm afraid that I don't know enough of this place yet to tell you that with any conviction.
I sense something off but nothing inherently evil or dangerous. Someone arrived with me who I care about so while something doesn't feel right about this place, I don't hate it either. That said, I might not be the best person to ask. I could be biased under my circumstances.

But if you'd like a friend or someone to talk to in person, I wouldn't mind meeting you. Or we can just keep communicating through here.

[ Shadow wasn't sure if Mys]terio would show up sooner than later. He went about his business, reading a book while the bookstore was quiet. His eyes would glance up for customers if anyone walked past the counter. ]

[It was nearing an hour later by the time Beck enters the store. He's dressed normally, a stocky and tall man with his most distinctive feature being that severe old-fashioned bowlcut hairdo. He looks a bit shifty and nervous, almost as if he's come in the rob the place - and he cautiously heads over to Shadow. Since they'd only conversed through text, he doesn't know what his appearance was or even his actual name.]

... Excuse me? I'm looking for... moon_shadow.

[It sounds like a secret code, the way he says it. Something spoken to find that special someone.]

[ He eyed the man while wiping down a counter. A contrast to the stranger, the barista understandably wore an apron over a t-shirt and jeans (the latter not visible unless seen from the side or from behind).

Shadow stood about six foot four with a muscular build and could be considered a formidable figure yet was more often than not, seen as approachable--the opposite of intimidating. At least, to those who didn't mean any harm. ]

I'm Shadow Moon. Are you Mysterio?

[ He tried to give the man the benefit of the doubt, believing the suspicious behavior made sense given the entire existence in Haven. Besides, who robbed bookstores? ]

[He repeats the name, wondering if he'd somehow got the username backwards.]

Yes. You can call me Shadow. [ He offered after Mysterio repeated his name. Shadow didn't even think about his username on the network that other man might be confused by. ]

What do you prefer to be called?

[He does appear uncomfortable.]

[ He offered the man a pleasant closed lip grin. Where Beck looked uncomfortable, Shadow was a little confused but didn't dwell on it. ]

Would you like something to drink while we talk?

[ Shadow asked while stepping back and immediately pouring one of the carafes into a cup. ]
