People are too quick to write people off. Why do you ask about the topic

I've had my own issues trying to go down that path.

Yeah.

Not everyone lets you try. They want to judge without questioning further.

A lot of people just don't really care about context. It's easier that way. Things get really complicated when someone wants to try to do good after doing a lot of bad.

It's a very uphill battle. It's easier to just give up and accept your fate sometimes.

Is that what you're thinking of doing?

Not right now. I want to prove myself to those that doubted me.

I think that's better than giving up. How do you think you can prove it though?

I don't know exactly. I suppose I have to show change through my actions.

Actions speak louder than words, right? If you don't mind me asking, what did you do to need redemption?

It would take a long time to go into the details. Decades of criminal activity... I hurt a lot of people.

What made you want to reform after decades of hurting people?

[makeanentrance]

I never really wanted to hurt anyone.

It was more about ... opportunity... and respect.

And money, of course.

At once time all I wanted was one big score and then I swore I'd retire. I tried to. It didn't work out.

Then I thought if I could make a big name for myself with one spectacular event... But that also didn't work out. I was constantly thwarted or pursued even after I'd moved on.

I still want some of that. To be known for something great. My last chance now is to get creative - in a less criminal way.

So you want to do really big good things so you'll be known for doing something great? I've got some experience with motivations like that and it doesn't always work out well.

That's not a very positive pep talk.

Sorry. I just think maybe you should try focusing on wanting to do good things just to do good things?

But if nobody knows about them then it's like they don't exist.

[iseegoblins]

If you do enough good things then people usually learn about them.

[makeanentrance]

They'd have to be very public good deeds then.

[iseegoblins]

Maybe. Or maybe just really good ones?

What do you think would qualify?

Helping people out in need just because you see that they need help? Protecting people who need protection?
