Hello, everyone. My name is Matthew Murdock. I've been here for a few weeks now, so I thought I'd finally make an introduction. I think most of my posts are going to be audio from here on out, but I wanted to at least try one video post. So you can put a name to a face, I guess.

I uh, I was a lawyer, at home. And I'm a social service worker, here. I look forward to meeting more of you.

I've been taking walks around the town. Trying to familiarize myself with the layout. It only took me twenty five or so years to learn Hell's Kitchen and other parts of New York as well as I do. I'm sure I'll have this place memorized in no time.

Yeah, she’s my social worker or was? Idk man she doesn’t really call or anything since I was rehoused or whatever.

I mean I already don’t usually like social workers on principle but like. She did not help the stereotype.

That... doesn't seem right. Or very responsible. We're meant to do regular checks to make sure you're doing all right. At the very least a phone call, but preferably an in-person check.

This might seem an odd question but what exactly is a social worker?

Well here, it means I help place children and teens with their guardians. Then I check in on them to make sure they're settling in well, that they're behaving. That their guardians are taking proper care of them.

Oh, I didn’t realize there was a thing like that here. I guess it only makes sense.

Well I guess this place wants to make sure the kids are being taken care of. Or I would assume, since being a social worker is an option here.

Hey. I'm Malcolm Bright. What kind of law did you practice?

Sherlock and Freud, interesting combination. I was a Defense Attorney, for a very small private practice. And by small I mean me and my friend from law school. Though these days it's just me. Or was, before I came here.

It fits my job well. I'm a forensic profiler.

Criminal cases? Homicides?

I find forensic profiling fascinating, but I never had the head for psychology. I admire those who do.

I've done a little bit of everything. Basically, if they walk through my door and need my help, I take their case. Lately, I've been focusing on people who have been done wrong by big corporations and didn't have the resources to fight them themselves.

Likewise. Honestly? I've dealt with a lot of weird ( and terrible, ) shit. Figured I might as well put the experiences to good use in helping kids brought in.

I was an orphan, growing up. I lost my dad when I was young, and was raised by nuns in an orphanage after that. Aged out of the system and went to college, then to law school. So I guess social work has always sort of been my calling.

There are a lot of young people here. If we can do something to help them, to make sure they have good, safe homes, I'm happy to do that.

[He doesn't think the man is lying. He's well aware that others can be from other universes.]

We have most certainly met and I regretfully guarantee that I would not be so easily forgotten.

I am Mysterio and you... are likely not from the same world as I.

I can say with certainty that I've never met a Mysterio. I suppose if we can be from different times in our lives than the other people we know from home, different universes aren't entirely out of the question.
