[ Oh, look! It’s the blue-haired girl again. She’s outside her castle again, this time in the bigger backyard, and somewhere behind her is her sister, Snow. It’s not quite obvious just yet, but Snow is talking to someone and the conversation sounds delightful. Grinning at her sister for a moment, Evie turns to look at the FluxPhone. ]

So, not only did I get my bike, but we have a new housemate.

[ And Evie sounds fairly excited. She needed a few days to adapt to the idea, sure. But she got there quick. Snow is happy, so Evie’s happy. Turning to look at her sister, she speaks to snow. ]

Would you like to introduce your friend, Snow?

Oh! Why hello there! It's so nice to see you! I would like to introduce my new friend. Come here, dear.

[A black wolf comes into view. Yes, a wolf, not a dog.]

Everyone, this is Alarick! Isn't he adorable!

[The wolf, for his part, looks bashful. Yes, the wolf looks bashful.]

Alarick is such a sweet boy, it was such a wonderful surprise for him to just pop out of the box.

[Evie turns to grin at the FluxPhone’s camera again as Alarick comes trotting over, nudging the palm of her free hand to get her attention. ]

Yes, you’ll eat soon. Just wait.

[ She doesn’t speak to the animals like Snow does, but she recognizes a hungry animal when she sees one. ]

He was most certainly a shock.

[ A good one, if the soft smile on her face is any manner of tell. ]

I think this might be Snow’s surprise, as mine is in the driveway of my castle. What did everyone else get when we changed over to Wechester City?

[ A huff from the adorable wolf and Evie sighs, raising one eyebrow as if to say ‘my fairy godmother, can you believe this?’ before she turns her feed off, the last shot the phone showing of Alarick trotting along beside Evie as she heads inside. ]

[Way to point out the obvious, Beast. But while he knew Snow could charm animals (himself included, even if he won't admit it), he hadn't realized that could also include dangerous animals as well. It was a bit of a surprise.]

[At least he's got good reason to be none too fond of wolves, given the last time he'd encountered any they'd done their utter best to kill him.]

He's a really well-behaved one, but I theorize he might be on his best behavior because he doesn't want to disappoint my sister.

Plus, like Snow said, he sees us as pack. I'm really unsure as to who this makes the Alpha of said pack, but my money is on the girl he showed up for.

As long as he stays well-behaved, I think he'll manage to get along with everyone.

[Beat hopes that includes him. He doesn't want to have to bat away a full-grown wolf every time he visits Snow.]

Somehow, I don't doubt it.

[Snow, the tiny, formidable Alpha. He can just see it now.]

Isn't it a bit dangerous to have a wild animal in the city? I mean, he seems pretty cool, but the people around here might not realize right away that he's friendly.

[ Then again, from what he's seen about the people in Wechester so far, they might not even notice. ]

It is, but after he showed up I looked up laws and ordinances of Wechester.

Wolves are not against the law, here, in terms of exotic pets to own. Not to mention, Snow and I took him for a walk. We even went into FreshWay with him. No one looked at us twice.

[ This place is really, really weird. And this comes from a girl who grew up on a prison island with a magical barrier around it. ]

Forgive me. Where are my manners? I'm Evie. You're new, too, right?

[ Honestly, he's not even a little surprised that no one cared about a wolf walking around. ]

Nonsense, there's nothing dangerous about a wolf so long as you understand how they are to be treated.

Oh well yeah, sure, I know that [ Kinda ]. Just saying other people might not. And they might get scared 'cuz they don't know any better.

My surprise is a bit more in line with Snow's.

[ The camera flips around Ash hands an arctic hare a berry to munch on. ]

Maybe not as much of a shock to others as Alarick, but it warms my heart that at least two animals found their ways back home.

[ Don't mind the girly squealing. That furry baby is too cute! She nods her agreement when the girl says it warms her heart that people have their furry friends from home. ]

Same here. Snow was so excited when she saw him. I don't think I've stopped smiling yet and it's been a couple days.

[ The girly squealing made Ash's subtle smile grow a little more. ]

Zelvi is a good boy. Everyone told me hares make bad pets, but I guess not many nurse them back to health. People think hares are just nervous things, but they can be quite sassy.

I was not expecting to wake up to such a delight after such an awful storm. I'm glad I'm not the only one. Your guys's Alarick is quite beautiful. He looks like he's very well behaved too.

Oh! Simply adorable! Who is your little friend there?

His name is Zelvi.

I found him in the harsh snowy landscape of a place called Ilsabard - poor thing was hurt when I found him. I've been told hares make bad pets, but he seems to have warmed up to me alright.

[ The camera turned around back to Ash about as Zelvi finished the berry. ]

Alarick is beautiful. Did you raise him since he was a pup?

[People who can deal with animals easily reminds her of someone. Except he had a completely different personality to the other. But it seems her talent with animals is pretty good.]

[The little dog growls, then barks--and for a chihuahua, his bark is surprisingly mighty for such a little dog, and just a bit deep.]

Good baaaaaby! I'd say our boys should play, but...well, Hulk thinks he's a Doberman and he'd piss off Alarick with his posturing, so...

[ Alarick heard the small barking and heads over to the FluxPhone, sniffing at it and trying to find the source. But he seems unable to and, mildly frustrated, heads back to snow white. ]

Probably. I'd rather not be responsible for anything happening to anyone because Alarick was unimpressed.

[Hulk chooses that moment to wriggle around to kiss Anne--and shove his tongue up her nostril in the process, making her jerk back and sputter through a fit of giggling.]
