[ True to his word, Miles arrives at the Starbucks in a few minutes, being as careful as he could to remove his backpack as he entered, checking its contents for a moment before looking around for Gwen. ]
[ Gwen's just coming off her shift at Starkbucks, checking her bank account balance on her phone to see if her pay was deposited, and indeed it was. She even has an envelope with tips in it and that's getting stuffed into her pocket as she heads over to Miles, leaning to peek into the bag at the cat and giving him a small wave. ]
Since there are no customers, I'm gonna order an orange creamcicle frappuccino. Do you want anything, and then we'll be on our way?
[ Technically, she still gets the discount for half an hour after clocking out. And it's just a couple minutes between ordering the drinks and picking them up. Heading over to Miles, she holds onto the drinks as she waits for him. ]
[ He's mostly kidding, but he does want to pay her back sometime.
It's a good thing that the wait is short, because by the time they're leaving the cat is getting a bit fussy. Once they're back outside, he takes his drink from Gwen with a 'thanks', and the cat's head pops out of his backpack. ]
Well, Alice suggested Alley O'Malley, after the cat from that one Disney movie. And I kinda like it, honestly.
