look, ive been through this before-a lot. pretty much everyday of my life and its not fun-its not a life id suggest for anyone and it didn't get better as i got older, it got worse-it stopped being about pushing me around and got more vicious-Flash especially liked to remind me im an orphan as if i could forget and that my family wasnt the wealthiest.
and i don't want you to have to go through what i did. and i realize we dont have the same exact personal issues for people to pick at but they'll find something. they'll find an insecurity and poke it with a stick.
Is a lot to dump on a seven-year-old. Peter means well, but just revealing these kinds of things to a child and expect it to go... fabulously is overly optimistic.
Alice doesn't know what to say. Peter is very clearly hurting and this is less about the boys who pull her hair and much more about whatever it was Peter went through.

[It felt wrong making virgin margaritas when you were over the age of.. fifteen or something. He stopped the blender and picked up the phone immediately when he saw who it was.]

[Alice, little flighty child that she is, is momentarily tempted to ask what a slushie is. But no! No, she needs to focus. She will ask what a slushie is later.
[He was quiet a moment as he tried to think of the best way to handle this. He didn't want to scare her about bullies but he knew there was a chance she'd face some teasing at school. She wasn't from a modern time, so the kids could pick on her for that. Although she was awfully cute and sweet. That charm would help her.]

[He rubbed the bridge of his nose. She was seven so.. how many years in prison would he get if he murdered two other seven year olds? No, no. He had to behave.]
Sometimes boys do that when they actually like you but don't know how to say it. Boys are pretty stupid at that age. Let me know if they keep doing it. This is the first day of school right?
Peter said that he hates when people say that about boys liking girls. I don't know what being mean has anything to do with liking someone. You're supposed to court the person you like.
Besides, I don't WANT them to like me. They're nasty, naughty boys. [The wasn't tonsay there weren't nice boys in class. Several were very nice to her. Girls too.]
We won't have it again until Thursday. We have it twice a week, and then music once a week, art once a week, and something called "media center" once a week, whatever that may be. I'm looking forward to art though! That's my favorite! Oh! Mr. Stark, I have papers for you, one is for parent volunteers in the classroom and a room parent...
I didn't know rooms had parents! But I suppose it makes sense, they can't just poof into existence, in any case! Do you think the parent of a room is a hall? Or the House? And then something called "P.T.A." I don't know what that is for either. But it's a very big packet Mrs. Heart said is just for our parents.
[That means he'll be showing up on Thursday. He'll tell that little bastard to leave- wait, what? Did she just say PTA? He wanted to facepalm as she tried to figure out what was literally the parent of a room.]
No sweetie. They're meaning a room like a group of kids, probably your classroom. Rooms are made by people building them with materials, they aren't things that are born from a parent.
[He sighed. Iron Man to PTA member. What was his life?]
I'll fill those papers out. Would you like me to come and visit your classroom sometimes?
[ Uh oh. What has he done now? He runs through a mental list of things he's done recently that Tony might not exactly approve of. It's not like there's any super dangerous crimes or something going on. ]
okay but you should know it exploded on its own and i cant be blamed for faulty lab equipment.
[ He doesn't take too long to get there but there might have been a little dragging his feet because honestly, he hates being in trouble. Never mind how often he manages to get himself in trouble. ]
[Tony handed over a virgin margarita with a little umbrella when he opened the door for Peter.]
Hey kid. Sounds like you had a really busy first day of classes. You blew something up, you scared your new sister, and you got yourself detention for the next three days. You must be very proud of yourself.
[ That. He wasn't expecting. He just looks down at the 'margarita' and moves a little more into the living room he's pretty sure is bigger than his and May's entire apartment back in Queens. ]
I-[ He starts to immediately go on the defensive because he's Peter and it's just what he does when he knows he's in trouble-try and talk himself out of it. ]
...I also got sent to the nurse's office for hitting my head on a locker? Not that that helps anything.... wait. I scared her? I wasn't trying to do that-I was just concerned because I went through a lot of bullying when I was little and I just don't want the same thing to happen to her so I might have told her that if someone tried to hurt her she should kick them.
Peter.. you're a disaster. And of course you have detention. I told them to give it to you. And what the hell? How did you manage to hit your head on a locker?
[He sighed and shook his head.]
She said you were very distressed and sad. Why weren't you honest with me about what was really going on today? Why wouldn't you tell me it was that bad?
What? Why would you do that? It wouldn't have blown up if it wasn't faulty, that's hardly my fault!
[ He pauses and just makes a face. ]
I'm not sad. And it really wasn't that bad-I just didn't super appreciate getting laughed at when I hit my head, that's all. I was getting up from testing out my locker combination aaaaand BAM. But I'm okay, really.
I'm just worried about Alice. No one should have to go through that-especially someone as nice and polite as she is.
