At lunch today, everyone kept asking me what I was going to be for Halloween and if Mr. Stark gave full-sized candy bars.

I told them I would be me and they laughed.

What do they mean then? I don't feel like I can really ask them what does "what will I be for Halloween?" mean. And what is a "full-sized candy bar" and why should Mr. Stark be giving them to anyone?

Wait... is Halloween the same thing as All Hallows Eve? That's the night before All Saints Day!

That is another name for it, yes. I think there might be some differences in what happens depending on the culture too?

Oh! Then- I HAVE heard of Halloween! Queen Victoria is very fond of the holiday and even at the university, it's celebrated! But I didn't know it reached even here! Or America.

But what does candy have to do with anything?

You know, I don't actually know why we do the candy thing, we just do.

Is it a specific kind of candy? Do I have to have some on me?

Any kind of candy is fine and no the people who have the candy are the people you visit. You dress up to collect the candy from adults basically who give it out.

I... trouble other people for candy? They won't get mad? Mrs. Parker, there is an entire story about children being eaten because of candy.

Not at all! In fact they expect children to come knocking.

Oh! Then, I want to try it! It sounds like fun! Do you think Mr. Stark will come with me?

You should and if he doesn't I will come with you instead.
