At lunch today, everyone kept asking me what I was going to be for Halloween and if Mr. Stark gave full-sized candy bars.

I told them I would be me and they laughed.

What do they mean then? I don't feel like I can really ask them what does "what will I be for Halloween?" mean. And what is a "full-sized candy bar" and why should Mr. Stark be giving them to anyone?

Children celebrate it and enjoy it a lot where I come from. October 31st, is Halloween and children dress up and go 'trick or treating' to their neighbors who often given out candy to the children.

Halloween is a tradition where you dress up as something you're not. Like... a cat. A vampire. Usually something scary.

Yeah, that's the fun thing about it. You don't just have to be scary, you can be a cat for example.

I am used to having to dress up to play a part, but even I find this time of year to be fun. Though Christmas will always be my favorite.

They mean your costume, sweetie. That's the fun part of Halloween! You get to pretend to be someone or something else! For example, one year I was a fairy called Tinkerbell, and another I was Little Bo Peep--like the nursery rhyme? And you know, once when I was very little? I did dress up very much like you! A pretty dress with poofy sleeves and a pinafore, with a beautiful little headband.

Well you can always buy one--but making costumes is always so much more fun.

How about I ask Mr. Stark if it's okay to take you shopping, and we could go look for your costume! A pretty dress, supplies to make you some wings and a magic wand, things like that.

Halloween is a holiday where people dress up in costumes and have fun. Kids go trick or treating, where they go from house to house and get candy - that's the treat part. If people don't give them candy, they get to play pranks on them - that's the trick.

A lot of people like Halloween because it's spooky, but it doesn't necessarily have to be. Back home where I'm from, a lot of costumes were based on superheroes and stuff.

Well, playing tricks on people is optional. And as long as someone at your house has candy, you should be okay.

And superheroes are heroes with superpowers. So they can do things that normal people can't do.
