Hello, everyone. If we haven't met yet, my name is Bruce Wayne. I've recently been employed at Weschester Enterprises on behalf of Mr. Weschester. Which is unfortunately why I'm having to reach out and contact you all about it.

Mr. Wechester has seen some increasing interest in the building, especially after it appeared to us in Flux. He's sending a formal request, through me, that the activity cease. He feels its interrupting business and frankly, rude. He's only asked me because I'm the only one on the Board that is not native to the area.

So... that puts me in the unique position to directly give his wishes to you. As well as... discuss what interest any of you might have in Wechester Enterprises.

[ He raises his eyebrows, being purposely pointed about that. Giving a hint to those who might be paying more than casual attention. ]

Bring your concerns to me and we'll see what we can work out.

Mr. Sims. We haven't met formally until now. You seem to have broken a window - if not several - of Wechester Enterprsies. I've been asked to look into the matter. Mind telling me what happened?

[That's an annoyance, but he doesn't let that show. Anyway, he might be able to get permission eventually. Until then, he'll figure out a less obvious method.]

I was not snooping. [His tone is offended before his expression slips to obnoxious teenage boy to the studious, contrite mask he wears to distract professors from whatever mayhem Ronan is creating.] I was taking environmental readings of key locations around the city.

He sees it as snooping. Anything he doesn't really sanction is. Though, I'm guessing it's namely because there are a bunch of people running around he's never seen before.

[ He just shakes his head at the tone. ] Have you found anything interesting?

[Something that's almost impatience begins to slip through his thoughts, but he carefully sets it aside. He's dealt with stubborn landowners before and usually managed to get the permissions he needed. All he needs to do is find the right time to ask, and now is not that time.]

Eventually he may allow some people to look around.

[Until then, he'll be careful not to officially trespass.

It's surprising that Bruce doesn't fall for his contrite student act, but in a way it's pleasing that someone other than his friends can see through it.]

I think I need to get more readings for a baseline. There's some weird fluctuations I haven't seen before. I haven't even been able to figure out if there are ley lines here. I assume there are, but I don't have proof of it. I think that I'll have to do readings around most of the city before being able to see any patterns.

Have you seen or heard anything that could help with the research?

Maybe. First, it's best to prove goodwill.

He crosses his arms and leans back in his chair as he listens. ]

The research of ley lines? No. But, there does seem to be some... discontent with the board. Among each other, with Mr. Wechester himself. It's not hostile but, definitely mistrust.

And they see it as we showed up in their city. Not the other way around.

[Carefully, of course. If he can charm his mother's supporters, he'll eventually win over Mr. Wechester.]

I'm actually researching a broader topic than that. I'm trying to gather information on pocket dimensions. And figure out some sort of pattern to who is brought here.

Is our presence the only reason for the discontent?

[He pauses, considering the board's point of view.]

Technically, they're right. We're all trespassing into their world. I always thought of us that way. Do the others who were brought here see it the other way around?

I'm not certain what it is. Sometimes I think it's something else entirely.

Pocket dimensions are a good starting point until we gather more theories.

Well, I'm more of a business man than a quantum theorist. So. If you need help with anything...

I'm a historian, but I've had to learn about energy theories while searching for Glendower.

[Gansey isn't an expert in that. Even if he read every text on the subject, traveled every ley line, he still wouldn't know it the way Adam might have.]

What is your background? I assume business, possibly politics. You have certain traits that I've seen regularly in Washington.
