Why hello there!

[Snow is, unsurprisingly, smiling. A glance around her says she's at the high school. A further glance shows that all of her animal friends, even Alarick, are all sitting outside the window, watching her.] I'm learning so many things at school, it's so exciting! But there is something I've heard of but I'm not sure what it means and people just look at me strange when I ask.

What is detention?

You see, I have it for the rest of the week and I'm just really not sure what to do for it. Everything else I've picked up on with some help or was told what it was... although, I'm still not sure what a "ditz" is either though or why people keep calling me that.

But would someone be so kind as to explain detention and what I do there? I just want to be prepared for it. I don't wish to upset the teacher by not being ready! Oh, that's so exciting to say! A teacher! A real teacher! I've never had a human one before coming here. I'm so excited to meet this new one!

Detention is something people are given when they have done something wrong.

Come to think of it, the language teacher did say that I was trying to make a fool out of him, but I would never try to make a fool out of anyone!

[She paused for a moment. That was an odd thing to say...Was that a reason?]

I can't say I know what they mean? Did you try to do something without realising it, or something you are used to but the other might not be?

Well, the language teacher asked how many languages we spoke, and when I said I could speak German, chipmunk, squirrel, bird, and so much more, everyone laughed and he got so very red in the face. I asked him if he was feeling Bashful because Bashful does that all the time too!

Ah, I think it must be because of something you would consider a language but isn't exactly classed the same for others.

In this instance, you answered honestly and people thought it might have been a joke so it annoyed the teacher... So basically this seems more like a misunderstanding.

It does seem that way, Evie said the same thing. I hope it can be cleared up. I'm still not sure what I'm supposed to do in detention.

I honestly don't know what people do in detention. Maybe it's just a case of doing work.

Oh, what sort of work? If you mean homework I already did everything for it.

That is what I mean. I don't really know much about detention and what they do though, so it was only a guess.

Oh I see, my apologies. Modern school is so strange.

It might get some getting use to for you. But I wish you good luck with it should you still have to.

Oh, do you not attend school?

Before I arrived here, I did. I went to a school where I was handpicked to go there though which is different to how you usually join a school.

Oh! How very nice to be handpicked! Do you want to attend school here?

I'm not sure yet really. I mean it would be nice to actually finish high school though.

Oh, then you simply must! It's so exciting! I'm learning all sorts of new things every day!

What have you learned so far?

Oh, goodness, I'm afraid there's so much. But I'm learning a new language, I knew German already and learned Latin, of course, but now I'm learning French since they're my kingdom's neighbor!

Languages is always a good one to learn. Not sure what other classes would be the best idea that apply to the world though. Some work for those who have that interest but not for general everyday use. Except maybe English.

Well, I'm learning math I've never even heard of before! Have you ever heard of algebra?

I have. it's something we learn, though as to how to applies to the world, I don't know.

Well, I admit, when they talked about pie, I was very confused about it being endless! Because if they had ever been around my dwarfs, they would know it's gone in seconds!

Yeah, it's a different kind of pie and the number of pie is... as they said endless.

Pie as the food can be gone within seconds.

Oh, then you've seen a dwarf eat! [She giggles.]

No. But pie is just delicious.
