Hello, everyone! I wanted to tell you guys about something pretty cool my school, Wechester High, is doing. As a lot of you know, it's a pretty cool hybrid school. In one half we have all the fun STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) classes. In the other half, it's dedicated to the arts. Music. Dancing and other various artistic media one can think of. It's pretty amazing.

My school is doing a concert/fundraiser in the park next weekend. From the 23rd to the 25th there will be live music, various dance performances, and art displays around the park. Along with various and really neat items from the culinary arts department in my school. The food items will be on sale, and there will be demonstrations of various gastronomic techniques and a lot of those classes will explain the science behind what they're doing.

Not only that, but there will be some neat demonstrations from the STEM side of the school, too. I don't know what, I was just tasked with promoting the arts side of things.

And I'll be on stage a few times. There'll be a few performances from the school rock band (i know right what school has one of those), a couple performances from the dance squad I'm part of. So please be there. It'll be a good time. I promise.

Here's hoping people keep it sane. I'm really digging this idea, but only because it's been months since I've done anything like this.

I've noticed. It's kinda weird for a city this big. People are still bitchy and rude but it's like...low-key.

yeah. if there's one thing i know, it's bitchy and rude. i, uh... i wasn't a good person a few years ago. i guess having been it makes it easy to see.

It's possible. Like recognizes like, or whatever the saying is, right?

My school is going to take us there for the entire afternoon! [Since Alice's school is the closest elementary nearby.] We're all going to get tickets to use at the booths. Maybe I'll get to see you perform, Miss Gwen! Will you be singing the song you shared with me? The shark one?

I say go for either the pizza or the burger and fries. Both are amazing.

... I don't know what either of those things are. [Growing up in the Victorian era meant you didn't have "kids foods" or a "picky eater." You ate whatever the hell was prepared or you went to bed hungry.

That, and since Alice has never had them, she never knows to ask for them when the question "what would you like for dinner?" is asked.]

I'm going to be helping with the refreshments and food! I've got seven different pie recipes I'm going to make! Pumpkin, blackberry, raspberry, peach, blueberry, cherry, and boysenberry! [Apple is NOWHERE NEAR THAT LIST.]

I'm so excited! I've never had anyone try my cooking before except the dwarfs!

The whole pie? Well, when would you like to pick it up?

I live with two boys. If I bring home just part of a pie, they'll eat it all.

So a whole pie should work. I can pick it up when it's ready. There's no real rush. If you hold onto it for me at the fundraiser, I can pick it up after I'm done on stage. That should be around two? Two fifteen?

Gwen, I do not now, nor have I ever served someone pie that isn't fresh. If you give me thirty minutes notice, it will be fresh out of the oven when you come and get it.

Can you teach me how to bake pies? Because I have no clue.

You want me to teach you to bake? No one's ever asked me to be their teacher before.

The school's actually gonna let me use spray paints for some of the art displays. I just need to get permission from Mrs. Parker for them. Can you believe that?

I think that's awesome. I'm just on stage dancing and playing drums. Looking forward to it, don't get me wrong. And we still have our sunday at the wall in the park. This is going to be so great.
