[What a day he'd had, but at least he'd managed to have a long hot shower after slogging through the cold, and it'd been a long time since he'd had a shower to himself.

Amery was perfectly clean and groomed when the video turned on, dressed in dark slacks and a white dress shirt, though without his gloves. He'd already discovered them, but he saw no need to wear them in what was, apparently, his own dwelling, without company.

He fussed with the camera on his phone for a moment, appearing uncertain, before finally leaving it be.]

Ah, is this thing on? Forgive me, I'm not used to such...technology. [His Volstovic accent, resembling a blend of Russian and French, was strong but not overpowering, and he spoke clearly enough.] I suppose I should start by introducing myself. My name is Amery Vallet and I am a member of the Dragon Corps.

I would be grateful if someone could explain where we are and what is going on. I'm aware I'm apparently far from home, but the rest... [He gestured vaguely.]

Also, does anyone know of a laundry service? I'm afraid I'm not sure if regular washing will help my situation much.
